2007 - 2008 Beaver Events and Outings

The following are a list of events and outings that are currently planned for the Beaver Colony. Please check in from time to time to see if any further events or outings have been scheduled.

McHappy Night - A Visit to McDonalds - Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2007, 7:00 pm
Library Night - Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007, 7:00 pm

A repeat of one of last year's most popular events with all the Beavers (and even some of the parents), Wednesday, Nov. 7th will be McHappy Night. Instead of our regular meeting that night, we will be heading north to the golden arches on the west side of Kipling just north of Rexdale Blvd. We will be taking a tour of the kitchen, playing in Playland and eating to our heart's content. A full explanation of how McDonald's serves up their famous meals will be included. Kids can play in Playland before and after the tour and dinner, with no rush to leave.

As is the case with all Beaver outings or events that take place away from our meeting place, we require that each child be accompanied by at least one parent or guardian. The whole family is welcome to attend this outing. There is no charge for the event, however everyone will be ordering and paying for their own meals.  

On Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007, our colony will be meeting at Richview Public Library, downstairs in the kids section. The friendly library staff will be conducting an hour long program that includes fun with reading. Libary card forms, along with participation forms, will be distributed in advance so you can sign your child up for a library card and carry on the fun of reading long after this evening is over.

We require that each child be accompanied by at least one parent or guardian. There is no charge for the event.
