The whole group in front of IUC. Actually, we were still one Scout short; another Scout joined us downtown, just in time for the tour.
We took the subway downtown; we walked to the station and rode the subway to St George station, then walked south a couple of blocks to the parliament buildings, nicknamed \"the pink palace\" because of the colour of the stones it\'s made out of.
A group shot in front of the war memorial in Queen\'s Park.
A statue of King Edward VII, if I recall correctly. This one was in Delhi, India, but it was apparently relocated to Toronto (I guess the Indians didn\'t want a big statue to the British Emperor of India after they broke away from the Commonwealth and declared independence).
In front of the parliament buildings, we see a statue of Queen Victoria
And we\'re finally inside the building.
We\'re in the marble part of the building now (the part which was rebuilt after the original wooden wing was destroyed by fire).
This is the inside of the Legislature.
We were lucky enough to see the Lieutenant-Governor on his way to a ceremony. He looked up at us, waved, and said \"Hi, guys!\" Seems like a friendly guy.
